Week 63 - I love missionaries and I love being a missionary!

All the jail sisters :) Farewell to Sister Montgomery who went home this week.  We have quite the team!  Sisters Peterson, Prior, Guerrero, Montgomery, Durrans, Morgan, Anderson me and Schiess.

Hello, hello again! It's been another week and a great one at that!
This week I was able to talk with so many people that are headed out on missions at the jail! It's interesting, sometimes there are these themes and I'll take the same kind of people though the jail all week and I know Heavenly Father is trying to tell me something! And this week was definitely the missionary week!:)
One family has a son going to Washington this month and after the presentation I invited them all to talk in their families and tel leach other what they had learned and felt very strongly that if they did so it would strengthen the unity in their families, and so I promised them that. After taking pictures, everyone left except for this family and they were still sitting down by the jail. The mom started to ask each one of her children what they had learned and testified how much the spirit had been there. She said this is the purpose of our trip to see these church history sites, to feel the spirit and to grow together as a family and it's already doing that for us. It was such a special moment to be a part of to see their family grow together as they learned together:)
Another family had a daughter going to Bolivia on her mission and her mom came up to talk with me after the presentation. She said after hearing the presentation her daughter leaned over to her and told her how excited she was to be able to go and help people to feel the spirit as I had the opportunity to. She said her mission would be a bit different than mine, but she knew she would be able to do the same thing and there was nothing that made her more excited! I just love seeing the hope and excitement in the eyes of these soon-to-be-missionaries and seeing a little bit of their potential. They really will change lives and eternity!
And as for our Ward area we had some great contacts there as well! We met a man who hasn't been to church for a year or so and had such a good talk with him! He was excited because his daughter who was baptized with him about 3 years ago just turned 12 and he knew that meant she would be able to go to the temple. He knew she would love that and so we are going to go meet with them more often to be able to help her get to the temple, and help him to be able to go there with her:) the temple really does unite families, in experiences now and for forever!
We're already in to August with the school year coming fast! Good luck to everyone who is starting school soon and pray that people keep coming to the historic liberty jail even when school gets back in!!:)

Love you all! All is well and God is good:)
